70 Olds 442

Bought this July 5th from a guy down in Madera who was a complete liar, but my son and I checked out the car and at first I was appalled but when I started to figure in what I intended to do, and the fact that it was a 70 442 with a 455 and a 4 speed, and an original OAI hood, I decided to go for it. Hauled it home that day and have been working very slowly on it. Making good progress mind you but just cant move that fast any more. Had to get new exhaust on it so that took a while, then all the snifter rods were installed all hanky, had to have them sorted out, it shifts real smooth now and sounds great too.  First time I am going to do a complete color change too, exterior and interior so it has been allot of hours pulling stuff apart that I don’t have to do when the interior stays the same color. Anyway…off we go!

Here are some early pics, I will try and post some more as I make progress

Update on my 1970 Oldsmobile 442 restoration project as you can see from the pictures it’s come a long way hey.

Hard to believe this was brown and God at one time
